Use of the centre as a Business Address
This is where a business operates from. It can be listed on the website and used in marketing. Wherever we are able to sell Virtual Offices, the customer can use it as their business address.
Use of the centre as a Legal Address / Registered Address
While Virtual Office customers can use our centres as their business address, in some locations they can also use it as their legal address as a chargeable service.
See the guide on IWG Academy here to look up your country for more information.
Using our address as a customer’s legal address means the company can be served legal notices at our locations e.g. Subpoenas, official court documents, etc.
Where new customers inform you of this requirement during onboarding, you must make sure you bill them by adding the recurring ‘Legal address fee’ to their account via TeamHub.
You can refer to your local House Rules for specific guidance on the use of centre addresses, as this will differ between countries.
e.g. US/Canada – The House Rules specifically restrict use of the centre address for these purposes: “You may not use the Business Center as Your registered address for service-of-process.”
