Upon review of requests to move to plastic/paper ware for the kitchens / beverage areas, it has been determined this is not the course we will take as it does not improve health and safety or reduce touch points between customers within the centres. To grasp a single cup, plate, fork, etc. the user will inevitably touch several other pieces to grab just one.
Instead, we will continue to use crockery in the kitchens / beverage areas because these items can be sanitized and disinfected in the dishwasher for the next use. We have also requested customers to place their used items directly into the dishwasher to minimize touch points between team members and customers.
Where customer do not place items in the dishwasher, centre team members have masks and gloves available to them to wear while rinsing the dishes and loading the dishwasher
