A chargeback invoice is generated when the customer submits a payment dispute directly with their payment card company. The payment card company almost always sides with the customer and pulls the funds back from Regus and refunds it to the customer.
This does not imply the customer does not owe the amount to Regus and we will attempt to recover the funds by raising a new invoice and following the standard collection process.
A chargeback invoice should never be credited.
If the original charges for the disputed payment are indeed incorrect, then those original line items should be credited; in this example we would credit the line items from invoice 1385-25942. If any amount remains due, we must follow the standard collections process and help the customer to pay.
